About the artist

Self taught Dutch psychedelic artist Jafeth Pentury, invites viewers to explore the colorful characters and realms of his inner world through his digital art. Since 2010 he has been working purely in the digital medium, Jafeth's work is characterised by precision, detail, and dreamlike subjects that draw upon his dual Dutch-Moluccan ancestry and the narratives of the Pacific, the tribes of the Amazon, and indigenous peoples around the world.

His journey into art was sparked by his grandfather, a landscape artist and photographer who inspired him with his ability to paint from memory. 
Jafeth, also known as AllYourLittleFaces, combines different styles in his art, particularly pop art with fractal designs, which have become his signature.

He has been drawing since he could hold a pencil, and his art is inspired by his grandfather, as well as by everything and everyone he loves. Jafeth has also had the privilege of working with House music legend, DJ Sneak and numerous record labels and music events.

Ultimately, through his art and the freedom to create, he hopes to be able to be whoever and whatever he wants to be.

I'm Jafeth or AllYourLittleFaces – How did I come up with that name? Well I love to give face to companies through logos and styles. Give face to art and of course drawing faces/portraits.

But also because I hardly ever forget a face (I do forget names).

I’m that person that walks up to you and is like; “I feel I’ve met you before or seen you somewhere.” and it would’ve been somewhere passing each other on the street.

I’m a completely self-taught artist.

I love to combine multiple styles, the more “pop art” style mixed with my signature fractal designs I’ve been putting in my artworks.

According to my mum, I've been drawing from the moment I could hold a pencil. Inspired by my granddad who was an artist himself, The day he passed his memory is the main catalyst and inspiration.

I draw inspiration from everyone and everything I love, from lions, dreamscapes, every day stuff to the psychedelic journeys I had.

Studio Penumbra is a all round design studio offering a range of creative services, including illustrations, art, design, branding, and more.
It serves as the creative entity that exists in the shadow of the other two brands.

The name of the studio draws inspiration from the astronomical phenomenon of the same name. Penumbra signifies the convergence of light and shadow, virtue and sin, the harmony between creativity and technology, and the equilibrium between form and function.

  • Origin of the name:

    When I first began my journey as a DJ(2001), I was searching for a unique name. As I explored my options, I stumbled upon an old encyclopedia from my granddad. Given that my last name is Pentury, I was drawn to anything resembling or starting with "Pen." That's when I discovered "Penumbra."

  • The astronomical phenomenon

    When I looked closer into its meaning, I found that "Penumbra" referred to the partial shadow, the realm between complete darkness and complete illumination.
    Simple said half shadow. - It fitted perfectly being "multiracial" myself.
